about
I’m a woman in my mid late twenties. I live in a large, metropolitan area of the United States, and see the world through my own unique and not-so-unique perspective. I, as a human, like to think I am about authenticity, making things matter, and deconstructing everything around me in an attempt to find an objective sense of meaning in it (while appreciating whatever meaning it has to me subjectively).
I’m not sure what this blog is about. I wanted to start writing about perspectives on media, but after a couple of months of trying to come up with something Important Enough To Say, somehow that feels too myopic, and so I am expanding the scope of what I want to say to include a much wider view of importance. I don’t exactly know how this blog will be different from the one I had as a 16 year old, but I’ll aim for the small goal of fewer posts full of angry alternative-rock song lyrics and/or self-written poetry containing the word ‘tears.’ Even still, I make no promises but to be as authentic as I can muster.
catastrophizing
